silent: trust killer
so many things happened ever since the last entry...
out of sudden, i am in a "retired" mode.
almost every department is taken care by another leader.
so what is left for me to do?
don't tell me that its a break for me to plan my marriage.
the whole thing was planned months ago, and everything is in control.
do you have a plan for me?
i don't know.
and silent from you is not helping.
your silent show a lot.
without communication, there is no trust.
when there is no trust, there is no relationships.
when i can't relate to you with trust, you are nothing more than a person who i "have" to account to.
when that happened, this whole thing is over.
finished.
with no way back.

Please read before giving for any wedding. (tongue firmly in cheek)
Dearest reader,
Many of you may be invite for our wedding.
However, in view of the recent events, please kindly read the following disclaimers:
1. All "Ang Pao"s collected on our wedding date will be treated as "Love Offering".
It is understood that its given on a volunteer basis, and that no one has pointed a gun at your head to give us the stacks of blue notes.
2. You are not required to seek any leaders' permission to give your "Love Offering".
Even if you want to give as a group, you are not required to seek any leaders' permssion to do so.
3. All love offerings are not refundable, even if you leave the circle of friends that "qualify" you the honor of the invitation.
Thus, please do not write on any forums or blogs asking for refunds.
4. The sitting arrangements are made WITHOUT considerating how much you gave.
We treasure you, but as its not possible that everyone sit in the front tables, we hope you will understand if you are sitting near the end of the ballroom.
(think of it this way, you see my wonderful bride first, even before I see her myself. and its near the exit, in case your handphone rings)
We look forward to celebrate our eternal love, with you as our witness.

killing the meaning of love offering...
heard some disputes over some love offering collected...
and deep inside.. i can't help but laugh...
laugh at how "silly" that love offering can become an issue...
let's look at some history and reflect together...
1. Love offering was, is, AND will always be collected from members who want to bless the receiving party, above and beyond what the organisation is already buying/doing as an organisation...
it is always will free, voluntary, without compulsion, without anyone keeping records..
it is AS the name stated: an expression of our LOVE for that person.
2. No one kept records, becoz no one SHOULD KNOW how much we are giving.
Back in the hollywood days, we collected love offering using an open envelope, passed from member to member after any meeting. No one know how much you give, or even if you didn't!
We made things difficult for ourselves now, becoz instead of the open envelope, we are SMS-in our friends to ask them to "pledge" an amount...
Of course this "SMS-in" will make people feel pressured if they have no intention to give.
But its NOT the concept of giving a love offering that is WRONG.
Its the method.
It's you trying to do the easy method and just SMS-in people.
Why don't you go back to the original method?
3. Collection will always be done in advance, so that the person compiling the money to buy / present the money will have enough time to verify the amount...
4. The person in charge of buying the presents/ presenting the money collected will look through the amount collected, and use the money as agreed, giving a full account of how much was spent.
BUT DUE TO TECHNOLOGY, (as mentioned earlier) AND SOME "SILLY" & "LEGALISTIC" PPL...
1. All love offering must seek the approval of the leaders..

Remember? its a love offering.. collected becoz i want to bless a friend... on my free will...
Do i need permission to collect money to bless someone?
Do i need permission to collect money from a group of friends who love you, to bless you?

Everything that the devil throw at us will be targeted at the church!!
remember? Jesus said that the devil will try to attack the head, so that the sheep will be scattered?
Of course he will try to loop everything back to the church...
Back to the family of God.
Back to where God move, and show that He care!!
BUT have anyone stop and think?
The church helped his family to be better.
His children are wiser, knew more wisdom, know more life changing principles than those who paid thousands to listen to motivation speakers like John C Maxwell...
If your children remain the same before they stepped into the church, then you can only blame YOUR own children for not applying the principles that they have learnt!!
Don't blame the church, nor the leaders who cared for your children!!!
NO ONE EARN A SINGLE CENT TAKING CARE OF YOUR SILLY CHILDREN!

have anyone tried to blame motivation speakers that their lives remain unchanged even though they paid thousands?
Of course they are.
And to the motivation speakers, no one cared about their complains..
BECOZ those complainers are confirming the facts that they did nothing to change.
They are what our own local top motivation speaker, Mr Khoo Swee Chiow, said.. "fools trying to blame others for their failure!!"
Remember? the 3 rules for success is to:
1.Admit we have a weakness
2.Believe that there is better alternative.
3. CHANGE!!! (Not complain!!!)
Only failures complained!
No wonder you are a failed parent!!
Back to the silly-ness that all love offering will be linked to the church..
then ask yourself something...
If you have not sow into someone's life,
will you yourself have receive ANYTHING on your birthday, promotion, special events of your life??
I laugh at your stupidness that you will ask your company to refund you of all the "birthday funds" that you have contributed to buy something for your company friends...
In fact, I despise you that you are a cheap skate.

And for those who can't see the truth, and believe that the parent, and the devil is right, you have been fooled!!

We give a love offering becoz we love, and want to be a blessing to that special someone.
Try telling me that you love me, and you give me "pages of biblical promises", and i will know how "un-important" i am to you.
No matter how much you tried to tell me that you really care, love or treasure me..
Even papers and pens need money.
So how can we show our love when we didn't collect money to buy you something?
Ask yourself.
Who gave for your bags?
Who gave for your trips?
Who gave for your "blessings?
What are you thanking "God" for each day?
Its all money, love offering collected from people who love you, to bless you..
If by trying to bless you, we need so many permissions, why should we bothered?
Imagine this..
Jesus want to bless the wedding.. and he MUST first ask the couple, then the wedding helpers, then the unrighteousness priests, he may be so worn out that HE MAY JUST forget about the blessings and move on...
Every person have 5 love languages.. and one of them is "receiving of gifts"...
How to receive gifts if no one buy them?
How to buy them if people don't give?
How to give if they need permission to give an love offering?
4. Are you an administrator, OR A LEADER WHO CARES?
try to lead a group of leader anywhere and you just encourage them with words (back to point 3)...
just activate them for their respective job scopes, day in, day out, week in, week out..
will these people stay with you?
will you really make a difference in their lives?
Macdonald managers, back in 1990s, know that by giving their staff tie pins, brought with their own money, to let them wear on their uniforms, will always instill confidence in their staff, and motivate them to excel.
Uniform Groups officials (even now!) know that badges are useless to their young charges, but still spend money buying the nicest skills badges to award their charges in parades, becoz they know that its not the drills, the lessons, the camps, the volunteer works that will motivate their charges to be faithful to complete the training, to remain part of the UG, and to strive to be better...
In fact, the no 1 reason why many boys join Boys' Brigade was becoz they were impressed by how many badges they can have during their school lives.. Just ask Eric how they do their sec 1 recruitment.. by just walking around in their uniforms, showing off their badges, BROUGHT from money collected..
try telling the poor that you love them, without giving them food to eat.
try telling the sick that you love them, without feeding them medicine.
try telling the cold that you love them, without giving them YOUR jacket.
try telling your members that you love, without giving your money to buy them something / do them something.
try telling that person that his / her team LOVE her, if the team is not buying something / doing something for him /her.

Why are you stopping others if you cannot give yourself.
If you are not lead to give, DON'T GIVE!!!!
